Dear World,
Here is the great news! I got into Dear Edwina, AND I have 2 actual roles, Willa, and the talent scout Ann Van Buren who comes from the Kalamazoo Advice-A-Palooza! They are both really small parts (Willa just sings Fork. Fork. Fork. Fork. over and over again in the song Fork Knife Spoon, and an occasional Knife Spoon. Ann Van Buren has about 7 lines in the very last scene.) But it's better than the ensemble!
The first rehearsel was yesterday, and we have another tomorrow. Yesterday we learned the opening number, Paw Paw, and we have to have it memorized for tomorrow. I was just working on it with the piano and I remembered all of it and FINALLY hit the right notes without the piano playing! YAY! Goooo Paw Paw! (See, I'd make a good Becky!)
